Creating a centralized hub for operations management
One of the worlds leading energy services company (name redacted) was seeking to develop a one-stop solution for the people who manage oil and gas wells. This comprehensive dashboard would include monitoring tools with status, alerts, reporting, and issue resolution. In addition, an AI assistant and marketplace were developed to accompany the solution to tie in to the company’s other offerings.
Important data first
The landing page contains at-a-glance updates for the most important items the manager is tracking.
Making it smarter
Embedded throughout the experience, I storyboarded functionality for an AI assistant that could help with both administrative tasks, as well as complex issue resolution.
Enabling collaboration
The main well dashboard shows “pinned” wells that a manager is tracking, along with all the others they are responsible for. A sidebar consolidates alerts and issues that link directly to the well or issue analysis. The ability to communicate through this platform and resolve issues addresses a common pain point.
Resolve issues faster
This screen provides easy-to-track issues, including a concept for an AI-generated solution based on future algorithms and machine learning capabilities. In this case, the user can review the AI recommendation before accepting it, ensuring a level of human checks and balances.
Solutions marketplace
Adjacent to the dashboard was a marketplace that offered add-ons or additional solutions. An intelligent search with popular tag suggestions helps the user begin their search without feeling overwhelmed by options.
